Welcome to the School of Professional Violin and Piano Lessons in Edinburgh.

I am a fully qualified GTCS registered teacher of violin and piano. I specialise in preparing pupils for their ABRSM grade exams,

 entrance exams

 to music colleges and universities

but I also teach just for relaxation and pleasure. I have over 18 years of experience in providing violin and piano lessons.

I graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in London and have many years of experience in both

solo performing and teaching violin as well as piano.

My pass rate in getting pupils through their ABRSM grade exams successfully, with merits and distinctions is 100%. 

Many of my pupils have succeeded in getting into their desired orchestras, receiving music scholarships in their schools or securing a place at music colleges. 

I provide one-to-one violin and piano lessons for children from beginners to advanced for adult beginners and for adults thinking of returning to piano. My lessons are carefully planned to address the particular challenges that each of these different groups and individuals face.

My teaching methods vary of course from pupil to pupil but I have a reputation of being very patient music instructor, yet achieving parent's and pupil's goals within their music lessons and/or musical career and making sure that my violin and piano pupils are all happy and always look forward to their next lesson.

The lesson duration varies from 30 miutes to 1h twice per week and it's always up to the pupil to decide how long they would like their lessons to last for each time.

I also work with pupils who just want to learn an instrument for relaxation and pleasure and opt out of taking any exams. These are young children from age 3 onwards, whose parents, from the very beginning requested a flexible manner in the approach to their children’s learning and musical development. After all, the learning process is based on entertainment and fun. I am also used to working patiently with children with special educational needs who find music particularly relaxing and use it, whether consciously or subconsciously, as a therapy to help them focus and even unlock and open up using improvisation.
